Up on arrival for no heat call found system is not working. Found air handler pen is full of water do to secondary drain line from secondary heating exchanger was not connected to the unit. Installed drain line back to the system. Sucked all the water from air handler pen with shop vac . System operating normal at this time .
Will relocate water service on the inside of the house. Will bring 1 inch black polybutylene to back corner of living room lead up the wall secure it it go through wall to bulk head on other side of partioned wall. Follow down that bulk head till you reach where old service is at and tie back in. Eliminate old connection from old incoming service in water heater room and then cap off. Will also refer a company to bulk head out the pipes to hide the better.
Upon arrival for fall p.m 10/30/19 I notice furnace was to small for this home. I noticed the return air duct was too small for the furnace this furnace is 10 years old Iâ€™ve done inspection on heater Exchanger notice hairline cracks possible, carbon monoxide could be leaking from furnace. I gave Alex a call to explain what I found During my fall Pm Inspection alex advise me to give the customer a call to set up a Confort advisor to come out for options of replacement. at this time Iâ€™m going to tag furnace shut off gas shut off power to furnace. I explain to customer before I leave Iâ€™ll make a note of everything taken pictures. Iâ€™m not responsible for anything that happens once i leave the property.
Upon arrival customer explained to me duct main track line and around ask all condensating throughout the ceiling in living room dining room area. watermarks on ceiling due to duct work condensating. I gave Alex a call to explain in detail whatâ€™s going on and how to price out job. Rapping duck work throughout first floor level main trunk line is 15 foot long, One round duct tee off 10 foot lenth the other round duct T off 5ft & another one 5ft in length 3ft in lenth T off 4ft in lenth & one round duct T off 3ft length
Returned to install kitchen faucet and eliminate garbage disposal and tie sink back in. Tested and works perfect.
Installed new power vent water heater. Tested and works perfect. Connected to existing connections. Took pictures when I was done.
Paid trip fee 49.00 for trip will have to work up the funds before we can do job for customer. But offered to deduct trip from job balance when customer decides to schedule the water heater replacement.
Upon arrival found indoor running and calling for cooling but outdoor unit not running. Found issue with repairs preformed in May this year, resolved issues with Denny and fixed repairs under warranty to customer. System still did not come on. Traced issue to control voltage being cut off. Hooked up gauges and found system is flat on charge. Quoted basic no braze repair of leak but informed customer how price can change based off where the leak is found. Customer approved work to be done and scheduled for Tuesday July 23. Customer also wants price to replace a/c system so she can have all options priced out before making decision on what to do, repair or replace. Comfort advisor also scheduled on Tuesday July 23.
Upon arrival found water all around system. Inspected condensate line and found most of it with water on the outside. Opened coil panel to inspect condensate pan, found coil frozen, filter at bottom of return box sitting in about an inch and a half to 2 inches of water. Unable to diagnose due to frozen coil, advised customer to not run a/c system but is able to run fan to circulate air. Filter size is 20x20x1, also 16x16x1-3, customer will supply filter for visit tomorrow, scheduled follow up visit for tomorrow, July 2 from 12-4.
Upon arrival checked indoor system, found air temp difference only 6 degrees and excess condensation forming on insulated suction line. Also found blower capacitor out of spec. Inspecting outdoor unit found contactor very burnt and in need of replacement. While system running found 35 psi suction and line freezing at outdoor unit, head pressure also low. Advised leak search and repair on system, customer interested in replacing system since there is no guarantee of system health or longevity after repairs. System is 22 years old. While on site scheduled appointment for comfort advisor, scheduled Monday 5-7, so customer can see options and weigh is options.
Spring Pm On 06/28/19 On arrival set unit to call for cooling measured supply and return air temp measured voltage and amps inspected electrical connections checked drain and cleaned checked filter cleaned checked condenser unit checked electrical connections checked compressor capacitor checked voltage and amps tested unit operating normal at this time. Highly recommended duct cleaning also blower needs to be cleaned.
On arrival found outside unit not operating,found bad compressor.also Contactor is burnt in addition to ,customer informed me that unit has history of a leak but previous company couldn't find it .checked standing pressure which was slightly low .recommeded leak search .custmer declined repair at this time .
The thermostat displayed no 24volts power from the furnace. I went into the attic and the furnace door had not been latched back correctly and it had separated from the furnace several inches allowing it the door switch to open. I replaced the door making sure it fit and secured correctly. As soon as the furnace door was properly secured the blower began operating. I went to the condenser to make sure it was working.
Spring Pm On 06/17/19 On arrival set unit to call for cooling measured supply and return air temp measured voltage and amps inspected electrical connections checked drain and cleaned checked filter recommended replaced air filter checked condenser unit outdoor checked electrical connections checked compressor capacitor checked pressure and temp zero leaks checked all electrical connections units operating normal at this time.
On arrival found system low on refrigerant (410). Informed customer that system has a leak ,custmer preferred to recharge it at this time .added 1.5 lbs of 410 a .subcool 10 and supreheat 11 .unit operating normal at this time.
Upon arrival, stystem cooling properly, working properly, found blower cap and run cap outdoor weak, customer approved work and signed up for service agreement. Replace and working properly now.
FOUND THE REFRIGERATE LEAK ON THE HIGH SIDE SRATOR VALVE. REPAIRED AND CHARGED THE SYSTEM. CHECKED OPERATION.
On arrival found pan full of water and dirty filter. I replaced filter.Measured return and supply and I was only getting 2 degrees differential. I removed wet switch from the pan and I noticed my delta T started to changed. Return 80 and supply 68. I put my gauges on and my super heat was high and sub cool was low. I did I leak search but I wasnâ€™t able to find the leak. Customer want us to comeback and do a nitrogen leak search. Customer stated that we have a credit card on file, we have been charging it for years. Leak search + todayâ€™s trip fee needs to be charge. Custumer want us to comeback on Monday. She will be home all day.
Replace voltage absorption system, voltage distribution system and install a hard start kit.
I replaced the air filter with one provided by the customer. I cleaned the condensate drain line and ran water to flush out any debris and to make sure it drained properly without leaks. Unit cooling with 20+ degree delta temperatures across the evaporator coil. Refrigerant pressures and measurements were normal, no evidence of loss of charge from a leak. I checked the electrical wiring and electrical systems, and found 2 main components at the condenser that need to be replaced. I showed the customer and also recommended adding a hard start kit. The unit is operating normal, with electrical repairs needed to keep the system running.
Replaced Outdoor Fan Motor and module. Power was shut off when I arrived. Removed old mounting and then removed motor from mount and blade from motor. Installed new motor with reused blade and mounting brackets. Verified tight connections and returned power to system. Customers brother came and let me in house to test unit. Ran ac and checked operation. Outdoor fan running normally with compressor. Measured amp draw of both then took temperature readings at both coil. Found normal heat rejection outdoor and normal delta air temp indoor. Unit is operating normal at this time. **Still need to collect balance from customer. Paid me $300 cash as a deposit for part last visit.**
Upon arrival I was told that ac wasnâ€™t blowing cold air and outdoor fan not running. During diagnostics I found compressor running but outdoor fan not. Removed molex plug from motor and found it is getting both 240v and 24v, Motor should be running. Shut off power and ohmed out coil and found no ohms, winding broken. Quoting customer to replace Outdoor fan motor. Customer approved and paid deposit of $300 (cash) so we can order motor. Office please follow up with customer on part arrival. He would like to schedule return trip for Monday after 3pm if possible.
