Good service overall

Review of Supreme Service Today

Unfortunately, the day the repair was to take place, the repairman had an emergency, but we were never informed. He was supposed to show between 8-12, and by 11:45 I called to find out his status and was told he had an emergency and they needed to reschedule for another day. When I told them our instant hot was leaking, he finally did arrive much later that day. The entire system had to be replaced and the estimate was almost $800. We were able to find the replacement part for $250 and with labor from the first day and then his return visit to install, the entire amount was about $500. I understand they have to order all the parts, whereas I just ordered the main part, without the faucet, connection parts, etc. Derek was very good, however, and pleasant to deal with.

Response from Supreme Service Today:

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We value and appreciate your feedback. I do apologize for any inconvenience this caused you. Should you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Thank you for being a Supreme customer!

Fp1 sensor is flaky and causes the unit to lockout. I disabled gas furnace auxiliary heat lockout temperature so that if it happens during the night the furnace will run until the customer can reset the system. The part has to be ordered from WF. I filled out a parts order form and a customer follow up form. Customer paid $129.50 as a deposit with $129.50 due upon the completion of the repair. Unfortunately resetting the system is the only temporary solution. I will pin a note for whoever returns to reset auxiliary heat lockout to 30 degrees.

Upon arrival customer explained that since UV light was installed, she was experiencing respiratory issues. She explained that she thought this light would eliminate odors and smoke, which it does not, this uv light only kills bacteria the light touches. Removed blue tube uv light from system because it doesn’t help customers issues and isn’t what she wanted. Quoting customer for duct cleaning and installing air knight air purifier. Spoke to customer about these and prices are too high. Also not sure if Air Knight purifier would be too strong for her. Suggested to customer that she get stand alone humidifier for condo. I believe the dryness in air from gas furnace is affecting her more than air purification. Cannot install humidifier at unit, not enough room in duct. Office please contact customer for uv light refund.

It’s a two stage 80% gas furnace. It operates on low stage for a time and then opens up high stage heating and the blower ramps up. All electrical systems and components are within specification. Temperature rise is well within range. I noticed a significant amount of dust built up on the blower fins and recommended pulling the blower and cleaning it to avoid damaging the motor head. I also recommend installing an Ez Trap to the ac drain line and having the ductwork cleaned. Unit operating normal in heating mode but minor repairs recommended.

I was installing the replacement board sent from WF. I was hooking wires into the R and C area of the board on the bottom left hand corner when I noticed the board sent from WF had a large burnt resistor on it. Further examination showed the dip switches were already set and some of the acc terminal screws were half screwed in. I also realized that the static proof bag that I got the board out of was not sealed but was just folded over. The board sent from WF is not a new board but must be a damaged board being returned. I stopped immediately and called the dispatcher. I took multiple pictures of the board. I installed the original board back in the unit because it at least gives the unit some functionality. We must return and replace the ABC board and contact WF regarding this issue. To be clear, I was not even finished installing the board, all power to the unit was off and no power ever got applied to the board. The furnace door switch is very faulty and does not operate properly. Even taped up it still drops line voltage to the furnace. I safely bypassed the switch so the customer has heat. Customer recently replaced the air filter. I checked the electrical wiring and electrical systems, all are within specification including the auxiliary heat strips. I operated the unit on #12 compressor heating mode and recorded 30+ degrees delta temperatures across the air coil. I slowed vs pumps down to achieve 11.5gpm in this stage and mode. I then calculated heat of extraction at 37,000 btu/hr. Unit operating normal. Recommended and spoke with the customer about a whole house surge protector and the benefits of having a humidifier. I will send estimates as well.

Pilot was sending correct gas pressure but without flame sense, valve wouldn’t open. Switched flame sensor with unit next to it and unit came on normally. Found that back yoga room system wouldn’t reset when faulted out. Quoting customer to replace flame sensor and ignition control board. Upon arrival customer explained a few issues with system. First was that he was hearing a loud whistle by furnace. Found a few air gaps around filter door and humidifier, sealed with tape and whistle went away. Then he told me that furnace airflow is much higher than ac airflow. He would like us to try to match fan speeds so it runs more consistently. Found furnace is much larger than ac unit so ac fan speeds cannot he increased. Then was told thermostat indoor temp wouldn’t show on display, happened a few times per Troy. Reset thermostat and reprogrammed settings. Could not recreate thermostat error. Per Carrier, they suggest we replace stat again.
