Bill at WF, part # 12P556-01 Leaving Air Thermistor, Case # 522975. Upon arrival I replaced EEV board and found I was still having the same issue, Aid Tool not able to communicate with AOC, MOC, or EEV boards. Called Water Furnace and was informed that we have the wrong ABC board, was given one for 5 series, but we need correct board for 7 series. Reinstalled original EEV and ABC boards and returned power. Found I could Add MOV, AOC, and EEV boards so I did and let system run naturally. Went thru aid tool and found Leaving Air Thermistor reading 248 degrees. Shut off power, removed sensor and found it has 0ohms. Tried to used sensors from truck stock but do not have correct resistance, need 1K. Sensor is open and needs to be replaced. Called Water Furnace again and verified with them that the 1K Leaving Air Thermistor is bad and needs to be replaced. Unit may show fault codes until then if system runs for an extended period of time. Per office, we will reach back out to customer for bi
17P561-01 EEV Board. Case # 522975 from Dave at Water Furnace. Upon arrival I replaced ABC board in 7 series unit. Upon arrival I was told that new furnace was working fine until last night, now system won’t come on. During diagnostics I found no LEDs lit in furnace. Opened up panel to find normal high voltage and fuse not blown. Condensate pump empty and switch closed, pan switch disengaged but switch open. Removed pan switch from pan and flipped over a few times to engage then disengage switch and contacts closed then furnace fired up. Removed pan switch from unit and tested contacts. Found switch not closing or opening normally so I replaced pan switch with new one. Tested before I installed then tested after I installed to unit. Unit operating normal at this time.
I was installing the replacement board sent from WF. I was hooking wires into the R and C area of the board on the bottom left hand corner when I noticed the board sent from WF had a large burnt resistor on it. Further examination showed the dip switches were already set and some of the acc terminal screws were half screwed in. I also realized that the static proof bag that I got the board out of was not sealed but was just folded over. The board sent from WF is not a new board but must be a damaged board being returned. I stopped immediately and called the dispatcher. I took multiple pictures of the board. I installed the original board back in the unit because it at least gives the unit some functionality. We must return and replace the ABC board and contact WF regarding this issue. To be clear, I was not even finished installing the board, all power to the unit was off and no power ever got applied to the board. As soon as I realized there was a problem I stopped and called the

The furnace door switch is very faulty and does not operate properly. Even taped up it still drops line voltage to the furnace. I safely bypassed the switch so the customer has heat. It is not a furnace safety switch and there is a dedicated furnace on/off switch at the furnace so it is okay to temporarily bypass it but it needs to be replaced. I completed a parts order form and a customer follow up from. I called senior technician for warranty approval.
