I recovered remaining refrigerant. I removed the leaking air coil, txv and refrigerant biflow filter drier. I set the air coil and brazed in the new txv and the lineset. I ran drain line again and sealed the unit up. I replaced the biflow filter drier in the cube. I replaced valve cores in the service valves. I used dry nitrogen @ 300psi to check for leaks in the joints I brazed and the rest of the system. The system held that pressure for 10-15 minutes while I called WF tech support to get the weigh in refrigerant charge. I let pressure flush out the lines and then pulled a <500 micron vacuum on the system and then added 8lb 2oz of r410a refrigerant to achieve 10 degrees subcooling and 20+ degrees delta temperatures across the evaporator coil. System has no leaks and the unit is operating normal. Customer paid remaining balance and the job now has been paid in full.

I performed an electronic leak search and found the refrigerant leak fairly quickly. I called Water Furnace to get a case number and part numbers. I took $59 off because the customer paid it yesterday. Customer paid for leak search and then paid $700 deposit for coil replacement. I completed a parts order form.

I found unit low on refrigerant. I wrote up all estimates and explained to the customer what each one involved. I found evaporator coil frozen over and we will need to return to leak search. Customer asked me to leave the blower panel off so that it may thaw more quickly. I will put a customer follow up for in the morning. I will also let the dispatcher know. Also customer was there with me when I pulled the blower cabinet off and we both saw the bottom piece of insulation was pulled up close to the bottom side of the blower wheel. Customer pulled this out themselves. I do not believe this was the cause of the freezing up but it contributed to it certainly.

On arriva found system cutting off on high pressure.found air in the loop .also found flow center leaking .system is operating at this time but we need to replace flow center .2 tech needed .customer signed up for membership.customer paid $801

Upon arrival I was told top floor unit wasn’t working at all. Found capacitor with 0mfd rating, top puffed up, coil broken. Replaced with new and tested. Unit still covered under parts warranty. Restarted and tested unit. Measured amp draw, delta air temps, and delta loop temps. Unit operating normal.

Customer wasn’t home, was given door code. Upon arrival I went to first floor unit and removed all refrigerant. Replaced bad txv with new one. Pressurized unit to 350psi nitrogen and checked for leaks. Pressure held, no leaks found. Removed nitrogen and vacuumed system down to 500micron and held. Added factory charge of 11.6lbs of 410a then returned power to system and ran ac. Checked Superheat, subcool, and delta air temps. Unit is operating normal. Then I went to each thermostat and replaced the Nests with Honeywell T6 WiFi thermostats. Configured thermostats for dual fuel operation where Gas Furnaces are enabled at 40 degrees and Compressor Lockout is enabled at 35 degrees. Set all schedule periods for 78 cool 68 heat until customer sets up their own program. Left thermostat boxes on dinner table with Nest thermostats inside each box. Upon arrival I was told that main floor HeatPump wasn’t working, only gas heat. During diagnostics I found HeatPump locked out on High Pressure, found previous faults were all the same. Reset fault and ran system. Refrigerant pressures and temps are fluctuating. Need to replace TXV, before doing so we need to weigh out charge, then repair, vacuum, and add factory charge back. Informed customer. Office please follow up with status of part. Ideally we would like to return when outdoor temp is above 50.

Upon arrival I found top floor furnace locked out on retires. Found some water in furnace cabinet. Went to drain exit and found it was frozen. Pvc pipe too long outside of house. Cut back piping so only pvc 90 is outside of wall. Verified proper pitch then tested with hot water. Ran furnace and indoor temp has risen 4 degrees already. Checked unit amp draw and heat rise. Unit operating normal. Customer not home.

Upon arrival I met Troy on job and after running system for some time we found that the suction line is getting too hot because fan isn’t moving enough air. Increased fan speed and checked operation of HeatPump. We never saw unit lock out or fault during test, only when we arrived we found unit was locked out on high pressure. We also verified that furnace and HeatPump are not running at the time same. We asked customer to update us after adjustments were made.

Upon arrival I found cube tripping in water flow. Tested unit and found bad flow center pump. Quoted customer to replace and he approved. Customer also mentioned that aux heat is tripping breaker. Found aux heat is pulling normal amps, 44. Breaker in unit is not tripping, 60amp. Breaker at service panel is tripping. Informed customer to get main breaker replaced at panel before returning to replace flow center pump. Customer paid half. Office please call to schedule return. Returned to replace flow center pump. Customer informed me breaker has been replaced and it hasn’t tripped since. Verified left side flow center pump was bad. Replaced with new and purged air out of lines. Ran pumps only and checked amp draw. Put gauges on system and ran heat. Checked amp draw during both stages. Normal refrigerant pressures and temps. Normal loop pressures and temps. Normal delta air evap coil. Unit is operating normal at this time.

Upon arrival I went to basement unit and found drain safety switch laying on its side and not in bracket. Put in correct place and then went to thermostat. Stat has power and is showing currently 60 set for 65. Went into settings and found dual fuel has been set up at 34 degrees. Raised to 50 and furnace fired up. Tested both stages of furnace and then put dual fuel settings back to 34. Ran HeatPump and checked operation. Recalled fault code status and found high pressure fault and lockout. Tried to test defrost but control board uses algorithm to run defrost, cannot force. Checked thermistor and found correct reading. Found unit has 21 degree delta air temp at Evap coil when outdoor temp is 45. Do not see a reason why unit tripped high pressure unless that was an old fault during installation. Let system satisfy in HeatPump mode then checked thermostat settings again. If HeatPumps struggle to keep up during cold weather we may need to increase dual fuel temp setting. Customer wasn’t
