Case #: 363549 I called Carrier tech support twice to come to the final conclusion that the ecm blower motor and motor module are faulty and need to be replaced. Carrier also informed me that the 10 year parts warranty only applies to the original home owner and unfortunately the customer is not the original owner and further more upsetting is that the 5 year parts warranty expired in November of this year. I went over the estimate with the customer and let them know about service membership, but they can not approve the repair at this time and are not interested in a membership. I then explained to the customer that I have to charge advanced diagnostic for the time I have been onsite working on this problem. According to the customer the previous technician said that since they could not diagnose the issue at that time then the customer could call back. I called the dispatcher and they said I could remove the dispatch/evaluation fee and just charge the advanced diagnostic. Customer
Inspected unit in heating test mode found unit running properly. Inspected blower fan and ran unit in fan only mode and fan would not come on. Took tstat of wall and cleaned reset tstat and unit turned on properly. Told customer tstat replacement needed. Customer going to wait and see if cleaning tstat fixes issue.
Inspected system for heat season. Found exchanger to be rusty and need replacement. Unit heating properly as of now but needs replacement. Set customer up with a comfort specialist to come out and check system for new install. Job complete
Arrived onsite to inspect geo unit in heat test mode. Inspected incoming water pressure and outgoing. Documented all findings. Inspected and changed filters verified proper air flow unit running properly. Customer has old out of code water shut offs on water heater they need replacement. I told customer she wants time to look over estimates.
Fall pm on 11/05 / 19 On arrival I sanded the flame rectification probe and checked burner arrangement the ignitor homes out to be in good condition checked all other electrical connections set unit to call for heat measured supply and return air temp measured voltage and amps inspected electrical connections checked drain and cleaned checked filter cleaned checked blower motor checked all other electrical connections checked temp rise DT 50 made for 25-55 unit tested unit operating normal at this time. Recommended Ez trap installation Uv lights installation and single surge protector to avoid future problems
Picked up up light and module. Purchased water pressure test gauges with my own money.

Flush tankless water heater. Also gave a membership for conventional hvac unit with heat package.paid 669.70 he accidentally gave an extra 10 dollars more when collected and deduct over his next service.
Service call on 08/19/19 On arrival set unit to call for cooling measured supply and return air no DT checked electrical connections checked voltage and amps checked air filter checked condenser unit outdoor the fan is running but the compressor is not open the unit I found the wires burnt the capacitor also burnt I suggested replacing now to operating the unit also suggested the additional hard start kit to ease all electrical strain on the compressor and electrical device in the outdoor unit plus it lowers energy consumption I gave quote for customer accepted replacing the new dual run capacitor rewire all wires add hard start kit start up and unit began operating very smoothly without any hesitating checked electrical connections checked voltage and amps measured supply and return air temp measured pressure and temp they are ideal indicating zero measured superheat and subcooling unit operating normal at this time. On arrival inspected system and found system cooling properly, however evaporator coil dirty and blower wheel dirty, recommend cleaning both. Also recommend better air filtration, current reusable filter is not doing good job. Also, recommend installing ez trap as means of protection against water damage. When inspecting outdoor unit found working properly despite outdoor coil being dirty and contactor being burnt. Recommend cleaning coil and replacing contactor.
When I arrived I was ready to install Replace blower motor. It was the wrong blower. So I notified office and we are trying to expedite on getting correct blower motor
Service call on 07/22/19 On arrival set unit to call for cooling measured supply and return air temp measured voltage and amps inspected electrical connections checked filter also checked the blower motor checked all supply air duct unit operating normal but the upstairs room has only 1 supply in room also has 1 supply to bathroom is not enough to cooling down the room im suggested to add more supply duct vent in room or ductless unit installation i tray to talk to customer over the phone but she didnâ€™t answer or call me back but I was talking to her daughter and I explained everything to her she will talk to her mother and they going to call us when they are decided what they want to do. unit operating normal at this time. Also I collected $59 On cash
Upon arrival systems 2 and 3 were not operating. Unit 3 had a bad run capacitor for compressor and condenser fan. Replaced capacitor and system operating. Unit 2 was not sending 24v to compressor contactor. Checked pressure switches and all good, reset pressure control board, compressor and condenser fan came on but no blower. Blower had failed run capacitor so replaced part, still not operating. Need to replace blower motor.
Upon arrival checked indoor system, all wiring properly and indoor fan running, inspected outdoor unit and found neither compressor or fan running. Supply voltage good and wired correctly. Capacitor completely flat (no capacitance). Replaced capacitor and checked system operation. All operation normal and system cooling.
Upon arrival system operating to spec, all electrical components working properly. Customer stated thermostat having issues in heating system. On arrival outdoor air sensor not working properly. Reset sensor and thermostat, now reading proper outdoor temp. Tested indoor air sensor, operating normal. Follow up in heating tune up. Customer inquiring if covered under waranty, unable to locate paperwork at this time. Customer also signed up for service agreement.
Upon arrival system cooling properly. Blower motor making loud rattling noise. Upon inspection blower motor has trace of oil on underside of motor, rattle suspected to be bearings in motor, suggest replacement. All other facets of system working properly. Customer to consider replacement. Customer moving soon and must consult real estate agent. Will be in contact with office if chooses to replace.
Replace sump pump with new 1/3 hp sump pump and replace check valve. Sump pump was old and not pumping water enough to get past check valve.
Checked system operation. Checked refrigerate charge. Found no issues at this time.
Upon opening indoor system, found small amount of water under blower wheel, inspected condensate line and pan, neither clogged. Ice beginning to form on indoor coil. Filters clean and indoor operating normal otherwise. Outdoor electrical and delta t normal. Checked charge, simulated 90 degree day, system only producing 6 degrees of sub cooling. System slightly under charged. Customer given options.
Removed old hot water heater and installed new . Started and tested operations . Shows costumer owes a balance but she made a deposit night before and paid the remainder off 977.50 today .
Cust paid half deposit half upon completion total of 1950.00 per alex replace 50gallon powervent water heater and install pan leave existing expansion tank valve heater is already unplugged gas off and drained down
Upon arrival I checked the units operation in heating and cooling mode. I checked the electrical wiring and electrical systems, all are within specification. Refrigerant pressures and Superheat were normal and the unit was cooling with 20+ degrees across the evaporator coil. The coil and blower wheel are clean. Filter was recently replaced. In heating the temperature rise is normal and all components and safety devices are operating normal. Unit is operating normal. The service concerns identified today were a sequencer wired from high voltage wire spliced off the furnace line voltage that went to blower leads and y and c low voltage. It was completely unnecessary and created a potential for the board to short because the sequencer was laying on the cabinet of the unit. It had electrical tape around the tabs but if it had gotten wet it could have shorted the board and it did not lose power when the furnace door switch was activated. To remove toilet and install a repair flange and seal the hole going through the floor to the living room ceiling nothing separates water that gets on floor from running under toilet and into ceiling in living room bedroom area on first floor Pulled toilet , secured pipe in floor , installed repair flange , sealed hole going into first floor ceiling with foam , replaced wax ring and reset toilet , caulked toilet to floor. On arrival checked thermostat was calling for cooling. Measure return temperature, supply temperature,EWT,LWT,EWP,LWP, delta P, delta T; measure amps, voltage, electrical connections, filter is clean,voltage absorption system, showed contactor to customer. She wanted me to send her a quote to replace contactor in the future. She also wanted a quote for a duct cleaning. Unit is operating normal at this time.
