Up on arrival performed fall maintenance on 11/18/2019. Changed all filter , checked delta T and P, took readings of all electrical components, checked thermostat for operation, checked unit for operation. Unit working good at this time.
Service call 06/22/19 On arrival set unit to call for cooling measured supply and return air temp no DT checked electrical connections checked voltage and amps I checked outdoor ductless heat pump i put my gauge checked pressure and temp I found small non obvious leak the temperature is 27 degrees the pressure 225 I gave quote for customer to checked the leak and repair it but customer agree to add some 410A To the unit I charge the unit 2 pound 410A tested checked the pressure and temp is above 40 degrees stays. tight up all the connections checked electrical connections checked voltage and amps measured supply and return air temp is 25 degrees DT unit operating normal at this time. Collected $457 for charge 410A non obvious leak $89 for dispatch fee total $546 On C.C
I replaced the air filter with one provided by the customer. I cleaned the condensate pan and drain lines and ran water to flush the debris and to check for proper drainage without leaks. I checked the electrical wiring and electrical systems, all are within specification. I operated the unit on second stage cooling mode. I recorded 20+ degree delta temperatures across the evaporator coil. I had proper pressure drop across the coaxial water coil. I had normal heat of rejection. Unit operating normal. I recommend adding Intellistart Module to the electrical circuit of the compressor. It allows the compressor to start using 70% less amperage, which helps to prolong the compressors lifespan. Also if the home has backup generators, start assist modules are needed to allow the compressor to start and not overload the generator.
